The free audit is for UK registered charities. If you’re a CIC, community group or other nonprofit, call us and we’ll tell you what Microsoft offers organisations like yours.
No. We’ll ask questions and look at your invoices with you. We never ask for passwords.
It’s how most charities start working with us. Many find savings straight away. Some go on to use our packages, and plenty don’t, which is fine.
Sector Three IT is the nonprofit division of BLS Computer Solutions Ltd, a UK IT company. The name comes from the third sector, the charities, community groups and social enterprises we work with.
The Grant & Savings Setup is a one-off fee with no ongoing commitment. Protect can be paid monthly or annually. Complete is a 12-month agreement. All prices exclude VAT.
On Complete, onsite visits are included when a problem can’t be fixed remotely, usually the next business day. On Protect, visits cost £250 per half day plus travel. We’ll confirm onsite cover for your address during the audit.
Volunteer and frontline accounts cost less than staff accounts: £6 a month on Protect and £10 a month on Complete. Many volunteers only need email and web apps, so they can often use a free Microsoft licence.
Your staff can contact our helpdesk as often as they need, weekdays from 8am to 6pm, about problems with their work accounts and charity-owned computers. There’s no ticket count and no extra bill for asking a question.
It doesn’t cover new projects such as office moves or new systems, personal devices, out-of-hours support or training. We’ll always tell you before any chargeable work starts.
Yes. Protect is designed for charities that already have someone looking after their computers, whether that’s another IT company or a helpful volunteer. We look after your Microsoft 365 protection and accounts, and they carry on with everything else.
It’s a 60-minute call by Teams or phone. We look at what you currently pay for Microsoft 365, which licences you have and who uses them, and how well your accounts and email are protected.
Within 48 hours you’ll get a written report showing where you could save money and what we’d recommend fixing. The audit is free for UK registered charities and there’s no obligation to buy anything. It helps if someone who can see your Microsoft invoices joins the call.
Most UK registered charities are eligible. Microsoft sets the rules and excludes some types of organisation, so we check your eligibility as part of the free audit before you commit to anything.
Microsoft gives eligible nonprofits up to 300 Microsoft 365 Business Basic licences free of charge. Business Basic includes email, Teams, OneDrive and the web and mobile versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, but not the desktop apps.
For the desktop apps and stronger security, Microsoft offers discounts of up to 75% on plans such as Business Standard and Business Premium. Your charity registers with Microsoft’s nonprofit programme and passes its eligibility check to get either.
Microsoft used to give 10 free Business Premium licences, but that grant was withdrawn and ended at each charity’s first renewal after 1 July 2025. We handle the application and choose the right mix for your team, which is often free licences for some people and discounted ones for others.
